My Faith in Humanity, Restored
August 2021
I started my new position as Executive Director a little over two months ago. I have big shoes to fill. Martha Tighe has been here over a decade as executive director and has this place running like a well-oiled machine.
I have now seen in person the hard work the staff, volunteers and board members do every day. I have seen their compassion for those in need and the hungry. I have seen the donations of food that are dropped off every day, which continue to amaze me. The monetary donations people make on a recurring basis keep this place rolling. During the pandemic, people were extremely generous and it continues. It also warms my heart to see how appreciative our lunch and pantry clients are. Thank you to everybody involved, you have all gone above and beyond.
Now our work must continue. There is lots more to come and we need your help every day! Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity!
